The way I see it…. not posting the music at all would be more hateful than posting it and sharing an opinion on it.

Making a big deal about it would be making a post talking down on a particular artist every week… not just when their album comes out… or a new track I don’t like.

Hating would be me telling you not to buy an artist’s music… not sharing an opinion (even though it’s negative) and having a link to purchase the album from itunes in the post.

Blogs are about sharing information and opinions…not just sharing positive information and opinions.

There are an estimated 300 million people in the U.S and if someone doesn’t feel a particular artist then that’s fine…..But to make a big deal about it (ie blog about it) is going to far and is indeed hating…..If you don’t like a particular song or artist then simply don’t put it on the site. When you post music you don’t like on your site just to talk bad about then sorry to break the news you’re Hatin’…….And when it become perpetual then you’re a Hater……But honest criticism is not always hate, but it’s not for me to determine…..

I, for one, appreciate the commentary. I hate it when folks love Bay music just because it’s from teh Bay. If we keep generating played out garbage with content that has been done a million times over, then we will never emerge triumphant. It is the role of bloggers and critics to offer criticism and challenge growth. I’m tired of all these songs featuring hood-rich idiots throwing money in the air. Talk about real shit.

And I understand wanting to make a stuntin anthem or a drug record or whatever, but if that’s all you can make- and it sucks- then Ron Browz yourself. Too many people are making music and if folks aren’t challenged to grow and we are content with average shit, then we will contineu to be known as an average region.
